Mynydd Riding club virtual AGM

This year we cancelled our Christmas party and AGM due to the rise in covid cases. Therefore in place of an actual AGM we are consulting our members online.

Matters discussed during the AGM usually include:-

1. Chairpersons report-

club has been quieter than usual this year, with far less events.

We have run lessons when is has been possible to do so, which have been very well attended with fantastic facilities at various locations, including Stocklands, Sian Edwards Woodacre Farm, and now we are back at at Pencoed college as the winter closes in. We have to abide by strict social distancing when attending lessons and club events. And will always operate within the current government guidance.

Looking forward to 2022, membership renewals are due now for January 2022 to December 2022 and we kindly ask you renew by bacs as soon as possible (see membership fees below).

We are pleased that we will continue to run our weekly lessons, and are looking at attending Stockland Lovell for our riding club camp. Details of all forthcoming events will be posted on our website blog. We are awaiting the next announcement on restrictions before publicising our lessons.

We will be taking part in Area Qualifiers in all disciplines and very much look forward to supporting our members in their training and competitions. I would like to thank all of our members for their continued support and dedication this year, and a massive thank you to our sponsors of 2021, their details are on our sponsors page of our website.

Please support our sponsors as they support us! If you know of anyone who would like to sponsor club 2022 please get in touch.

I would like to ask for volunteers to take on the following roles within the club:

Lead rein & 1st ridden coordinator

Dressage coordinator

Jumping coordinator

2. Summary of finances-

It goes without saying that Covid has had an affect on us running lessons, shows and fund raisers this year.

Amy has always done a fantastic job as treasurer, and did an excellent job in an online fund raising auction last year , together with donations from our sponsors we add p brought in vital funds to keep club afloat to cover ongoing costs such as our website, insurance, trailer insurance and maintenance.

It is proposed that the membership for 2022 remain the same, being £40 per member, and an additional £15 per family member at the same address.

3. Committee Members-

our committee are Julia Whittaker, Jeanette Brooks, Sharone Williams, Georgina Graves, Julie Fry, Amy Daye and Rhian Carter. I am delighted that we have not had any resignations for officers this year.

Representations for new committee members can either be left as a comment below or messaged to me on here.

4. AOB -
