We’ve set up an official Mynydd Riding Club WhatsApp group to make it even easier to share updates on lessons, clinics, and events.
Join here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/H8PkzzKfqQUByCEH9Zc8zX
This group will be admin-only, so you’ll just receive clear, timely announcements — no endless chatter! Perfect for staying up to date.
If you have a last minute cancellation please try and fill it, last minute lessons or swaps can be advertised by members themselves on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/mynydd.ridingclub.
Please come a little beforehand and help out on jumping nights to put the jumps out or put horses away quickly and come help put the jumps away.
If at any time we do not have the help to put jumps out, a jump lesson will be run as a flat lesson without notice. While we make every attempt to avoid it, instructors may have to be substituted with short or no notice.
Please bring your own poop scoop and collect yours and any droppings you see. Club will get fined for droppings left in the arenas, car park and associated roads etc. Thank you
📣 Warm-Up & Arena Etiquette Reminder 🐴
To help keep our lessons running safely and smoothly, please follow the guidelines below when entering and riding in the arena:
✅ Enter to the left of the school
🐎 Stay in walk on the right rein until your instructor is ready to begin
↔ Pass left shoulder to left shoulder when meeting another rider
🏇 Give way to the faster pace – canter takes priority over trot, trot over walk
🌀 Lateral work has right of way
⬅ Circle off the track and don’t cut through anyone’s circle
🚶♀ Keep 2 horse lengths between you and the horse in front
↔ Leave at least one horse’s distance when passing another rider
🎯 Adjust tack or chat in the middle of the arena, not on the track
This helps give everyone time to settle their horses calmly, prevents congestion in the arena, and ensures the instructor can start the lesson safely and on time.
